Community Guidelines

These guidelines keep The Massage London useful, respectful and safe. By joining, you agree to follow them. Moderators may edit or remove posts, and suspend or remove accounts, that break them.

1. This is a professional, non-sexual community

Massage is a professional health and wellbeing service. Any sexual content, innuendo, requests for or offers of sexual services, or links to adult services will be removed, and the account will be banned without warning. This rule has no exceptions.

2. Be respectful

Disagree with ideas, not people. No harassment, bullying, discrimination, threats or personal attacks. Treat other members the way you would treat a colleague in a shared clinic.

3. Protect client privacy

Never post anything that could identify a client: no names, photos, addresses, phone numbers, or descriptions detailed enough to recognise someone. When asking for advice about a client situation, keep it anonymous. Do not share health information about anyone else.

4. No medical diagnosis

Members can share experience and technique, but nothing on the forum is medical advice. Do not diagnose conditions or advise anyone to stop or change medical treatment. If a client has symptoms that worry you, refer them to a GP.

5. Keep self-promotion in the right place

Sharing what you do is fine in your profile. Adverts, client-booking posts and links to your own business belong only in the sections set aside for them, such as room rentals and jobs. Members are here to talk shop, not to be sold to.

6. Post honestly

Do not impersonate other people or businesses, post fake reviews, or make false claims about qualifications, products or courses. If you have a connection to something you recommend, say so.

7. Keep it legal

Do not post anything illegal, or anything that encourages illegal activity. That includes copyrighted material you do not have permission to share, and personal data about other people.

8. Members must be 18 or over

The Massage London is for adults only. Accounts belonging to anyone under 18 will be removed.

How moderation works

  • A new member’s first three posts are checked by a moderator before they appear.
  • Posts that contain phone numbers, email addresses, links to other websites or images are also checked before they appear, whoever posts them.
  • Every post has a report button. Reports are reviewed by a moderator, usually within 24 hours.
  • Serious breaches, especially of rule 1, lead to an immediate ban.
  • If you think a moderation decision was wrong, use the report a concern page to ask for it to be reviewed.

We may update these guidelines as the community grows. Significant changes will be announced in the forum.
