Joining
Who can join The Massage London?
Anyone aged 18 or over who is a qualified massage or bodywork therapist, a student on a recognised course, or who works in the massage industry, for example as a clinic owner, trainer or supplier. The focus is on London, but therapists from elsewhere in the UK are welcome to take part.
Does it cost anything?
No. Membership is free.
How do I sign up?
Select Join at the top of any page. You can register with your email address, and we will send you a link to set your password, or continue with your Google account.
Why hasn’t my post appeared?
A moderator checks a new member’s first three posts before they go live. It helps keep spam and inappropriate content out of the forum. Your posts will appear once they are approved, usually within a few hours.
Why was my post held for checking?
Posts that contain phone numbers, email addresses, links to other websites or images are checked by a moderator before they appear, even for established members. This stops the forum filling up with adverts. If your post is genuine, it will be approved.
Do I need to use my real name?
No. You can choose a username. Many members use their business name, which is fine as long as you follow the rules on self-promotion in the community guidelines.
Using the forum
Can I advertise my services?
You can say what you do in your forum profile. Adverts, room-rental offers and job posts belong in the sections set aside for them. Promotional posts elsewhere will be removed.
Can I ask for advice about a client?
Yes, as long as the client cannot be identified. Leave out names, photos, locations and any detail that could point to a specific person.
Is the advice on the forum medical advice?
No. Members share professional experience, but nothing on the forum replaces advice from a doctor, physiotherapist or other qualified healthcare professional.
How do I report a post?
Use the report button on the post. A moderator will review it, usually within 24 hours. For anything urgent or serious, use the report a concern page.

How do I change my email notifications?
Go to your forum profile and open the account or subscription settings, where you can choose which notifications you receive.
How do I delete my account?
Use our contact form, choose “Privacy or data request” and give the email address on your account. We will delete your account and personal data in line with our privacy policy.
