Reporting a post

Every post in the forum has a report button. Reports go straight to our moderators, who review them, usually within 24 hours. You do not need to be the person affected to make a report.

Reporting something serious

For illegal content, threats, harassment, sexual content, content involving anyone under 18, or anything you think needs urgent attention, use the form below and choose “Report a concern”. Include:

• a link to the post or member’s profile
• a short description of the problem
• your contact details, if you are happy for us to follow up

We prioritise reports of illegal content and act on them as quickly as possible, which may include removing content, suspending accounts and, where appropriate, informing the police or other authorities.

Complaints and appeals

If you think we got a moderation decision wrong, for example your post was removed or your account suspended, or you are unhappy with how we handled a report, use our contact form and choose “Appeal a moderation decision”. Someone who was not involved in the original decision will review it, and we will let you know the outcome.

How we handle reports

Reports are reviewed by our moderators against the community guidelines. We keep records of reports and decisions so that we can review how well our moderation is working, in line with our privacy policy.
